Today, I visited “Tonari”. Tonari means Next Door. It is said that this ramen shop started its operation at the next door of a famous ramen shop. .It was located in “Tokyo Ramen Street”. When I had taken a look at here around 11:30 yesterday, there had been a long line of waiting people. Therefore, I came here at 11:00 today and found no one in front of the shop. What a big difference of 30 minutes! I bought a ticket of Luxurious Tantanmen(￥990) and have waited at the table for 8 minutes before the dish came.
Toppings were fried vegetables, egg, extra-large bacon and ginger.
Fried vegetables included cabbage, bean sprout, corn, Chinese cabbage, ginger, boiled fish paste, Chinese chives, onion, squid’s legs, Japanese mustard spinach, carrot and pork. This was equal to 350g of vegetables which an adult should take a day. This type of dish was good for ramen lover.
This time, vegetables first. It was difficult to reach noodle without finishing a bunch of vegetables. Delicious!! Tasty fried vegetables with soup. Black pepper played an excellent role as an accent. Extra-large bacon was thick and voluminous and of course had been harmonious with fried vegetables. Boiled egg was also matched with other ingredients.
Noodle was extra-thick. It took a quite a long time to reach noodle. But don’t worry. Noodle was at the best condition, a little bit firm and chewy. Soup was tonkotsu(pork bone), soft taste with sweetness of vegetables. You also could enjoy different taste with ginger etc.
