Today, I visited “Kimuraya Souhonten Ginza Honten” which first introduced “Anpan(Sweet red bean bun)”. It is located next to “Wako” at a crossroad of Ginza 4 chome.
The shop was crowded with a lot of people looking for “Anpan”. I went through people , bought “Anpan” and went right back to my home.
Anpan I bought were “Sakadane Ogura(Below left,¥150)”, “Sakadane Sakura(Below right,¥150)” and “Sakadane Kuri(Upper, ¥180)”.Bun of them were made of yeast fungus of sake. Unique sweet flavor stimulated my appetite.
First, I had “Sakadane Ogura”. Red bean paste was a little bit sweet and decent. You could enjoy good texture.
Then, I had “Sakadane Sakura”. Sakura flavor assaulted as soon as I bit one. Sourness of pickled sakura took out sweetness of red bean paste.
Finally, I had “Sakadane Kuri”. I expected taste of Japanese , but actually it was western. You would not get tired of because of good texture and flavor of sesame.
There are other ingredients such as keshi, uguisu, shiro, cheese cream etc. Why don”t you try Anpan when you visit Ginza?
