I visited “Meijijinguu” which attracts largest number of people to pray on a New Year Day every year. Meijijinguu is a shrine where Meiji emperor and empress are enshrined. Yokozuna Dohyouiri is said to be held here.
First gateway from Harajyuku station.
You should go to either of columns and make a bow before you go through the gate. Please be informed that only god could go through center of the gate. Foreigner who could do this correctly will be respected Japanese people.
Japanese sakes were dedicated.

A place for ritual cleansing of hands and mouth with water when visiting shrines.
1.Ladle water with your right hand and wash your left hand
2.Ladle water with your left hand and wash your right hand
3.Ladle water with your right hand and pour water on your left hand and wash your mouth
4.Do 1 again.
5.Clean ladle with leftover water
You cannot put your mouth directly on a ladle.
Front shrine. These 2 trees are god trees called “Meotokus” which is said to be good for happy marriage and well-being for family.

Normally, this is the end but I would like to introduce another place.
It is said there are a lot of power coming out of underground of this park in front of “Houmotsuden”.
Especially, very strong power is coming out of this “Kameishi (Turtle Stone)”.
There is another place called “Kiyomasanoido” which you could visit only in the morning on a fine day. Please try if you have a chance.
